@PictureThisAI I don’t even think that’s Virginia creeper? That’s impatiens capensis… once again, not toxic.
@kevsOrchids impatiens capensis?
@kevsOrchids Looks like jewelweed (Impatiens capensis)
(The jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) on the bottom and left of the pic above, is one I have to keep an eye on. It's a shallow-rooted annual, so it's easy to rein in, and it has nice flowers that hummingbirds like. But the BEST thing about it? - its juice relieves stinging nettle.)
Jewelweed, Impatiens capensis. A favorite of hummingbirds and remedy for poison ivy https://t.co/M43ab7ReLV
@MrASnook Ugh. They probably thought your beard was their hornet’s nest. Seriously, find some jewel weed (Impatiens capensis) to apply to your wound.
The jewel-weed (Impatiens capensis)—which I have captured in photos several times without knowing its name, or that it was the subject of the poem JEWEL-WEED by Florence Earle Coates—Now I know! https://t.co/gwBzZkaFLu "Pluck me, and you dispel the charm / And blur the dream!" https://t.co/A0Ac8yZwu4
@gkygirlengineer Jewelweed, Impatiens capensis and related species, also fling their seeds, hence another common name "touch-me-not". When ripe, you can close your fingertips on them and feel them "explode"! Quite alarming the first time you do it.
It’s official. My first orange jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) flower of the year. Fiery arrow. Luminous horn. Cheeto torpedo. https://t.co/JwivGEiJLx
Impatiens Capensis aka Jewelweed, is quite welcome in my garden. Completely effective on itchy skin to relieve the condition. #weeds #gardening #natural quickly effective for bug bites. Just take a handful of leaves, rub them up & down briskly on your skin where u have itching. https://t.co/om6pHF5iXd

@bellemare_jesse @jmheberling I'd say that's generally true in the Upper Midwest too...maybe I. capensis more often on muck too. Impatiens capensis also runs up into drier situations where the leaf litter is of crappy species like black locust, boxelder, black walnut, and elm.
ANNUAL: Impatiens capensis (Orange or Spotted Jewelweed) https://t.co/3cJFgaOHFG
Impatiens capensis, the orange jewelweed, common jewelweed, spotted jewelweed, or orange balsam, is an annual plant which is native to eastern North America https://t.co/dWQPkiILZm
@ChrisBaileyLdn Impatiens capensis (orange balsam).
