A single bold vertical stripe runs through the shining white leaves, creating a striking and unusual design. But it’s not clear if this is how the plant is always supposed to look—sometimes, depending on the season, the green is a much deeper shade, and the black stripe may disappear entirely, leaving just a plain green. I’ve even seen "Green Fire" plants like that (see DETAIL image). That said, I can't say for sure if they're really the same plant, since I haven’t observed them closely throughout the year (there was some similar phenomenon around "Bronze Medal A. 'Bronze Medal' ", if I remember right).
