A starry-type Dudleya that forms masses of small, star-shaped rosettes. It looks very similar to D. greenei , and even experts say it's hard to tell them apart. That said, D. greenei tends to include larger rosettes or plumper leaves, making for a more varied appearance, while gnoma usually sticks to this basic form. It's possible that the popularity of the 'Greenei' name has led to many lookalikes being grouped under it, so if you're searching for a "small clumping Dudleya," you might have better luck looking for the name 'gnoma.' Native to Santa Rosa Island off the coast of California.
