A slender-leaved cluster-forming type of Dudleya that looks about three times larger than Dudleya greenei. One unique feature is that its dead leaves don't fall off or shrivel away, but rather form a furry coat around the plant. Although the name "pauciflora" means "few flowers," in reality, it doesn't have particularly few flowers. It's thought that the specimen originally used for classification and naming just happened to have fewer flowers than normal.
