#escobaria vivipara https://t.co/EX5tRP0ByU
1 of 2 species of #Cactus native to Manitoba (Escobaria vivipara) with some of its #pollinators. It's one of my favorite flowers. Love to see the sweat #bees submerge themselves in the flower leaving only swaying anthers to indicate their presence, then coming up for air. https://t.co/pXqkCx3NuU
Escobaria vivipara in my WI garden today. It ranges from Alberta to Minnesota south to Texas and Arizona. I grew my plants from seed originating from Montana. https://t.co/6B2vqqUuqE
@yeshummingbird Well hm, that's a complex intersection. If you're looking for trees, I know pawpaws do really well in that zone! Cacti are always good for flowers and pollinators -- some native ones appear to be Echinocereus texensis, Escobaria vivipara and Opuntia humifusa
