A Gasteria hybrid that doesn’t have alternately arranged leaves but instead features sleek, elongated leaves spreading out in all directions. Its exact origins are unknown. While it goes by the name G. armstrongii , it’s not clear if it is actually a hybrid of G. armstrongii . Some individuals show the bumpy or wavy textures often seen in G. armstrongii —maybe due to differences in growing conditions? The plant in the photo is a striking variegated type with bold, crisp stripes. It also resembles G. excelsa .
