Lewisia cotyledon. #Lewisia #Flowers #Nature #MacroPhotography #GardeningTwitter https://t.co/2nSqFn40Mb
You see a cultivar of #Lewisia cotyledon or Siskiyou lewisia, Bitterwurz, Léwisie de Siskiyou, native to S-Oregon and N-California, a popular rock #garden #plant in France. I thought it was too exotic. But the local #bumblebees and some very small wild #bees love them.
@lifeonpigrow @DirtyGardenH0E If you can get hold of cyclamen seed c.coum would be good to try for early spring interest. Lewisia cotyledon, Saxifraga paniculata or Sempervivum arachnoideum would be good starting blocks. Just have fun with it and play around with planting pockets within the rocks.
Excellent potted specimen of Siskiyou Rock Rose: Lewisia cotyledon #Lewisia #Lewisiacotyledon #Montiaceae #Bitterroot #Caryophyllales #Succulents #OregonNativePlants #CaliforniaNativePlants #HardySucculents #Portulacinae #Portulacaceae #AmesLakeWA #SammamishWA https://t.co/0wvQFjsDjZ
