A horticultural variety of Lithops featuring deep red fissure patterns on a matte gray body. This is a hybrid developed in Japan, said to belong to the @ group (though its precise origin remains unclear). It is often mistaken for "Kikushougyoku" @, which also bears a chrysanthemum name, but that one has finer, overall redder markings. That said, since seed-raised plants are now widely distributed, individual variation exists and the border between the two can be fuzzy. The correct kanji spelling appears to be 「菊化石」, meaning 'Kikkaseki'.
