This plant belongs to the so-called "mesemb" group. At first, it starts off with slender stems, but as it matures, the trunk becomes chunky and rugged, with thin leaves standing tall at the tips—almost like a bonsai pine. What really sets it apart, though, is that each leaf is adorned with countless tiny windows that look like delicate glasswork, sparkling and reflecting light in all directions. The bold contrast creates a truly striking appearance. Of the plants I've seen so far, it's most similar to Mestoklema tuberosum M. tuberosum .
