@OverproducedPMC @SomeStingray Yeah there are still people who perform the Soma ritual with Sarcostemma acidum but as far as I know this is widely agreed to not be the same plant as the Vedic soma

（ひとりごと） Euphorbia sarcostemmoides Sarcostemma acidum Crassula sarcocaulis で、サルコイアシの学名もこれに近かったなと思いググる ⇒学名はHatiora salicornioidesで、sarではなくsalだし関係なさそう。茎が細くて棒みたいなところは似てそうなのに。
