Once known as the famous Fan Aloe, Kumara became its own genus after a dramatic taxonomic split. Its broad, fan-shaped arrangement of leaves remains instantly recognizable, but the new name has not fully caught on yet. In most garden centers, calling it an Aloe will still get you where you need to go.
