Cylindropuntia bigelovii这是一种因被密密麻麻的绒毛状刺覆盖、在夕阳下闪闪发光、模样可爱又美丽，而被昵称为“泰迪熊”的仙人掌。不过，别被它萌萌的外表欺骗了——它的刺其实非常锋利，刺上还有倒钩，即使走路时小心翼翼，也经常会不知不觉被刺挂到衣服或皮肤，因此它还有一个让人畏惧的名字：“跳跃仙人掌（Jumping Cholla）”，意思是“会跳起来扑过来的仙人掌”。这种仙人掌在美国的国家公园里十分有名，不过可能因为受到严格保护，流通非常少，几乎无法获得，是极为稀有的品种（网上虽然可以找到有卖，但很可能是其他相似品种，要特别小心辨认）。所谓的“Cholla（乔利亚）”其实就是指 Cylindropuntia 属。
