チタノタ A. titanota の選抜個体で、生長点付近の若い葉のトゲが深い黒褐色に色づくのが特徴。トゲが揺らめいて見えるのも「炎」の由来かと思いますが特徴と言えるほど個性があるかはよくわかりません。台湾生まれ。メリクローンが進んでいるのか他の選抜個体の中では比較的手に入れやすい品種です。
