This is a selected form of A. titanota , which normally features fierce spines, but this one stands out for its almost spine-free appearance. Instead, it shows a unique fine line along the leaf edges. Since its origins aren't completely clear, some people wonder if it's simply "a seedling that closely resembles Jaguarnaut." However, there are also growers who have released many distinctive plants described as "seedlings from crossing Jaguarnaut and FO76," so it's pretty certain that this is a type of "hybrid." Because these are grown from hybrid seed, there's a huge range of variation—so even under the label "Jaguarnaut Hybrid," there are actually many different types and looks out there.
