白いラインで着飾られ、緻密で正確な球を描く、控えめながら気品漂う姿から、英国王室ビクトリア女王の名を与えられた名誉あるアガベで（reginaがラテン語で「女王」）、「世界で最も美しい植物」との呼び声もあります。PUKUBOOKでも話題が絶えず、アガベの話題性で堂々1位にランクイン。成長は遅く、その美しさを長く保ってくれます。環境がよければ70cmほどになりますが、ご家庭では30cmくらいが限度。あ、目立たないけど葉先のトゲが思いの外鋭いので取り扱いには注意してください。やはり美しいものにはトゲ、なのでしょうか。
