A hybrid with small, round leaves that cluster together, featuring a gradient of purplish shades beneath a layer of white powder. This plant was brought back from Korea and named by Matsuoka of Tanikkun Kobo. The name 'Shurei' was chosen because of its resemblance to the popular 'Akirei', though they're not actually related. It looks very similar to G. 'Elen' , and in some places is even listed as an alternate name for Elen—however, the truth is unclear (it could be a sibling from the same parent plants, or perhaps it really is Elen; several possibilities exist).
