At first glance, it may look similar to 牡丹玉 G. mihanovichii var. friedrichii , but this particular specimen has deep ribbing and a chunky, irregular shape, giving it a unique and distinct character. Originally from Taiwan, it was passed from a contact in Taiwan to DEAWCACTUS in Thailand ).

The hybrid "T-REXハイブリッド G. 'T-rex Hybrid' " made using that plant as the parent is fairly well known among collectors, but the original "T-REX" mentioned here is separate, and it’s thought that this "T-REX" is hardly seen in the market at all ((there’s a higher chance of finding it among seedlings, but since its features aren’t always carried over, you’d definitely want an offset or pup from the original)).
