This is one of the classic types of Lithops, featuring a mouthwatering contrast: the rich, chocolate mousse-toned body paired with a shiny, maroon-brown "window" marked by intricate, net-like patterns. As you can see in the main image, there's a lot of variation between individual plants—not only in the size and patterning of their windows, but also in their coloring. For example, there are green-toned varieties like Lithops julii C056A, purple ones like L. 'Murasaki Fukuraigyoku' , and many fascinating regional variants such as L. julii ssp.fulleri C122 , Lithops julii ssp.fulleri C162A, and L. julii ssp.fulleri C259 . The Japanese name "Fukuraigyoku" may even be inspired by the way the scientific name "fulleri" (close to "fyu-ri-rai" in English pronunciation) sounds.
