An orthodox type of Sempervivum (in name), but it seems to take on bright red to orange hues during its autumn coloring season. The entire leaf surface is lightly covered with fine hairs, giving it a faintly velvety, almost clingy feel to the touch.

@StretchyStace @MsCCFox @FionneOrlander My Gran used to grow them the traditional way in an old sink in lots of gravel. In Kent though. Take heart from the name of one variety anyway: Sempervivum. I think it was them we called house leeks because they used to grow on old roofs. (Not an expert here )
