With leaves that look just like little round pearls strung on a necklace, this plant is as charming as it is unique. Unlike most other plants, it has no intention of growing tall and instead spreads across the ground, covering it with a layer of green "pearls." Compared to other succulents, it's somewhat delicate—especially in summer, when intense sunlight and rising temperatures can cause it to melt easily, so extra care is needed. Native to the southwest of Africa, its scientific name, rowleyanus, comes from the name of a botanist.
