A bold, stately member of the "tough type" Haworthia group, this plant features thick, matte, pale green leaves with no dots, growing with striking vigor. It can reach a maximum diameter of about 20 cm, making it one of the largest in its class. From 2013 to 2016, it was separated and established as independent from H. marginata . The key characteristic of this species is generally the absence of dots, though there do appear to be some individual differences—some dotted forms have even been selected and named as "Hoshimizutsuru" and "Mariachi." In nature, it grows in the southern part of Cape Province, South Africa.
