Tulista represents the aristocracy of the former hard-leaved Haworthias. Large, powerful leaves and an unmistakable presence give the group a regal aura, fitting for a lineage that produced famous hybrids such as “Tears of Angels.” Although the genus name dates back to the 1800s, its modern separation from Haworthia is recent, and debates over exactly which species belong here remain very much alive.
