Agave celsii가시가 없고 날카로운 엣지와 넓은 잎이 우아한 느낌을 주는 ‘셀시노바’가 인기가 많은 품종입니다. ‘셀시니시키’는 잎폭이 다소 좁고 가시가 있으며, 잎이 넓은 하쿠센코우 A. angustifolia 'Marginata' 와 비슷한 인상입니다. 참고로, 셀시가 한자로 ‘翡翠盤(비취반)’이라는 정보도 있었기에 그대로 기재했으나, 한국어에서 ‘翡翠盤(비취반)’은 아테누아타의 무늬종 A. attenuata 'Yellow stripes' 을 가리키는 경우가 많은 것 같습니다.
