Aloe distans두껍고 넓은 잎에 금색의 인상적인 가시가 돋보여 매우 강렬한 느낌을 주는 아로에입니다. 단일 두상의 로제트를 보면 마치 오니키리마루 같은 터프한 이미지의 아로에처럼 보이지만, 성장하면 테이블 크기의 컴팩트한 로제트들이 주변에 군생하는, 바로 A. 'Nobilis' 과 비슷한 분위기를 풍깁니다( A. 'Nobilis' 이 원조가 됐다는 소문도 있어요). 번식이 쉬워서인지 가격대도 비교적 합리적입니다. 인기 제품이 되어도 전혀 이상하지 않을 매력을 지녔지만, 의외로 유통은 드뭅니다.
