Cyphostemma juttae南アフリカにお住まいのブドウ科のコーデックス「キフォステンマ」のなかで、ブドウ科らしいギザギザエッジお大振りな葉っぱが特徴的なコ。ツルは伸ばさず、このガッシリどっしりしたフォルムのまま、最大で1～2mくらいの低木に生長します。赤く透明感のあるぶどうのような実をつけますが有毒で食べられないそうです。
