No Phacelia on Saturday but did come across a Lewisia nevadensis. Quite a surprise! A similar site to Sereno Watson's original (August 1868) collection in the East Humboldt Mountains at 9000 feet elevation. Lewisia nevadensis. This was pretty plainly a Lewisia but was one I’ve not seen before and that I didn’t know about. Solved by just going to SEINET’s Lewisia genus page and perusing the few species thumbnails. Bingo
