geometrizans 'Fukurokuryuzinboku'
Myrtillocactus geometrizans 'Fukurokuryuzinboku'竜神木 M. geometrizans 의 돌연변이종으로, 원래는 곧게 뻗은 능선이 특징인 식물인데, 이 품종은 라인 전체가 부드럽게 곡선을 그리다가 끝이 뾰족하게 솟아 있는, 굉장히 매력적인 실루엣을 가지고 있습니다(실제로 그런 별명이 붙기도 했어요). 일본에서 실생묘로 나타난 종으로, 해외에서는 '후쿠로큐진보쿠'라는 이름으로도 소개되고 있습니다. '福禄'이라는 이름은 아마 福禄寿 L. schottii f.monstrosus 에서 유래한 것이 아닐까 상상해봅니다. 전혀 관련은 없지만, 마크로고누스의 몬스트 T. macrogonus f.monstrosus 도 한번 링크 걸어둘게요. 진짜 아무 관련 없지만!
