Cereus repandus「柱サボテン」というと縦長のサボテンすべてを指すはずですが、お店で「柱サボテン」とだけ名札がついていると、その正体はきっとこのセレウス「鬼面角」ではないでしょうか。トゲが無く、オーソドックスなブルーグレイのボディで、ザ・シンプルな佇まい。根元近くから分岐するのでアタマをカットして複雑な樹形を作っている株もよく見かけます。
