Narrow-leaved milkweed (asclepias fascicularis) is native to California. https://t.co/Dlo9TAstwX https://t.co/oHTnoXIzQ0
From today, Asclepias fascicularis is a magnet for neat stuff. Hey, if you're in Santa Monica tomorrow, come join me for monarch monitoring training. I can't promise we'll see a monarch, maybe a residential one, but we will talk about the Western Monarch Count alot. https://t.co/pmzpwtpHRe
@AnneWheaton @suns_tutu_fan What plants are attracting the Monarchs to your yard? We have narrow leaf milkweed (Asclepias Fascicularis), but no Monarchs yet.
@FergusFun11 @donnadoutsk Asclepias fascicularis “Green milkweed” is a common name for several different milkweeds. This is why common names should not be used when looking for native species.
If you live in CA, asked your local nursery to stock the the native milkweed species- California Narrow Leaf Milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis). If you plant it, the Monarch Butterflies will find it. #Monarch #Milkweed https://t.co/Zv7Ifqwclb https://t.co/TO3Wb7Xnlv
Overwhelmed by the amount of photos of Ehrendorferia chrysantha for a new plant portrait I decided to do the one for Asclepias fascicularis first, which also turned out to be overwhelming. So here's a new photo of Asclepias albicans in the desert instead https://t.co/EuNvUqc0yw
Finally made my way through the overwhelming amount of Asclepias fascicularis (Narrowleaf Milkweed) photos. New plant portrait with 10 images. Phew. https://t.co/iZRmUDngvK #NaturePhotography #CANativePlants #MonarchButterfly
@LucyWBMcA Oh. You're in Ireland--right, sorry... I thought monarchs were only in the Americas? Our milkweed is Asclepias fascicularis. (thin-leaf milkweed.) In the sierras are some broad leaf varieties. The sap is white, hence the name, and indigenous peoples used it in various ways.
Asclepias fascicularis: Narrow leaved milkweed. A CA/MX native that is absolutely blowing me away this season. Food for monarchs and beautiful too. https://t.co/iKjGzZJgjh
Spotted 5 new monarchs today all on native milkweed, Asclepias fascicularis, narrow leaved milkweed. I moved the plants and was like, huh, I wonder if the butterflies found them yet. of course they found them https://t.co/koXsQ2N3Fh

@StarCreekFarm is proud to be a @monarchwatch Certified Monarch Butterfly Way Station. Here one of our fabulous butterfly transients feeds on Narrowleaf Milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis) nectar in September 2019. Add plants that support Monarchs to your farm or garden in 2020! https://t.co/qm1nDniAEg
