Here’s the situation: ① Kew Gardens officially uses "marianiae" ② Among growers, there is just one source that confidently states "marianiae is correct" ) ③ The origin of the name is a dedication to the wife of the person who named it, Marian Marloth; according to naming rules, if the name ends in an "n", then "-iae" should be added, so "marianiae" is formally correct (although, interestingly, another plant with the same origin, I. marianae , does not have that "i"…). So, here at PUKUBOOK, we will follow that interpretation. Scientifically speaking, it’s clear that both names refer to the same plant, so it’s not really causing any confusion.
