Aeonium species often look really similar, don’t they? Sometimes you wonder if any of them really stand out with a unique personality. While wandering around the event venue thinking just that, I was captivated by this one—“Ban-Oh.” The random striped variegation and the beautiful contrast between deep green and ivory is stunning, giving it an unexpectedly bold presence you don’t usually see in these plants. By the way, “Halloween” is called “万圣节 万圣夜 Wanshengjie” in Chinese, so “Ban-Oh” 万黄 seems to be a short nickname for A. 'Halloween Yellow Variegated' . They do look alike! I even saw them listed together on some Chinese-language sites. Also, I learned that writing “万” as “wang” for pronunciation isn’t actually correct... just a little trivia!
