These glossy, solid-looking leaves—which turn from deep dark green to reddish-brown under strong light—are commonly sold as a hybrid aloe. However, they're technically classified in the genus Aristaloe. This is an intergeneric cross between Aloe speciosa A. speciosa and Haworthia cymbiformis H. cymbiformis . The plant tends to produce lots of offsets, quickly forming lush clusters.
