Around April 2020, this started appearing in searches, but its true identity remains a mystery. There doesn't seem to be any database where Aloe aculeata A. aculeata has a formally registered variant called var. crousiana. It closely resembles Aloe marlothii A. marlothii , and there’s a sense that they might actually be the same plant.
