This aloe forms small rosettes sprinkled with distinct white spots. It vigorously produces offsets from its base, creating a tight, lively cluster. For many years, it was commonly distributed under the name " A. sinkatana ", but in 2015 it was officially recognized as a separate species. While A. sinkatana tends to grow larger, prefers to stand alone, and has more subdued spots, this plant is a bit smaller, boasts clearly visible spots, and forms dense colonies. Its native home is the hilly region along the Red Sea in northeastern Sudan—a cool, misty, high-altitude area. Another attractive feature is how it sends up straight flower stalks that bloom with bright yellow and orange flowers multiple times throughout the year. Despite its punchy name, this is a cute, easy-to-grow, and all-around wonderful plant.
