A true classic among tower-shaped Crassulas, this variety stacks up chubby, chunky, triangular leaves to form a vertical column. When you think of triangular-leaf towers, " C. rupestris ssp.rupestris " and " C. conjuncta " might spring to mind, but none can match "Kino Kawa" for its plumpness. It's a hybrid between " C. deceptor " and "Shintou (possibly the dwarf form?) C. perfoliata var.minor ", and was introduced by Johnson Cactus Gardens. Its history dates all the way back to 1958—a true sign of its legacy! In spring, it produces its characteristic tiny spray of red blooms, charming and petite.
