A hybrid between Euphorbia enopla E. enopla and Euphorbia horrida E. horrida . When young, it has a glossy look and long, reddish spines—giving off the impression of a "robust, powerful Euphorbia enopla." As it grows, it develops a waxy coating and looks even stronger, gradually taking on more of the appearance of an "Euphorbia horrida with red spines."
