A popular succulent often known as Blue Bean, Graptopetalum pachyphyllum G. pachyphyllum , is a hybrid between Graptopetalum and some Echeveria species. While the photos may show it appearing rather reddish, the inner leaves actually form clusters of rosettes with a deep, purplish hue. On Pinterest, you might see large, pale purple Graptopetalums and wonder, "Is this another case of a unique variant only circulating in Japan?" But as it turns out, this time Pinterest is actually the minority. This smaller type is also featured on the ICN.
