Towering up to 15cm, these matte red, ringlet-shaped leaves deliver an out-of-this-world impact with a look so unique, it's easy to imagine them growing in the Sea of Decay from "Nausicaa." This new face on the scene is actually a mutation of the Kalanchoe "luciae" K. luciae , known in Japan as "Karin," where the leaves curl into vertical rolls. Some say they resemble tongues or donkey ears—either way, their striking form makes them instantly eye-catching. This variety was born at the Dutch nursery RVL Vetplanten and was named "Oricula" by discoverer Ron van Leeuwen. It's also sold under names like "Uszy Flony" (which means "flower ears" in Polish) and "Firefox," but they're all the same plant. There's a bit of confusion out there, with some sources listing it as a Crassula or even calling it " C. ovata 'Gollum' ," likely because their appearances are somewhat similar—but rest assured, they're easy to tell apart since their sizes are completely different.
