PUKUBOOK Succulent picture book

CRASSULACEAE Kalanchoe rosei

DETAIL

This is a "Mother of Thousands"-type Kalanchoe that sprouts new plantlets along its leaves, and it closely resembles the K. daigremontiana 'Fushicho' . The main differences are its almost plain, simple appearance—and the fact that it's exceptionally rare! Does it really need a bold, eye-catching feature like the "Fushicho"? I think its understated, delicate charm is lovely in its own right. It can overwinter outdoors without a problem. Just like a true Kalanchoe, it'll sometimes send out little plantlets from its leaves at random, or take its time in spring—about two months—to produce shiny, reddish-purple blooms. It's quietly delightful.
