This striking plant is a larger member of the hyacinth family, with glossy leaves covered in deep green spots that can grow up to about 30 cm in diameter. Its official scientific name is Drimiopsis botryoides subsp. botryoides. For a long time, we mistakenly featured a tiny plant with reddish tiger stripes on the underside of its leaves on this page, but it turns out that was actually a @ with the wrong label.

https://t.co/qizWYNTSnD
