PUKUBOOK Succulent picture book

CRASSULACEAE Kalanchoe grandiflora 'Fuyumomiji'

Also Known As JA 冬もみじ

DETAIL

A rarely seen type of Kalanchoe, with sharply serrated, upright leaves that turn a vivid red in winter—its wildflower-like form is quite different from your typical succulent. It resembles Kalanchoe synsepala var. decepta K. synsepala var.decepta , but stays much smaller. While it's often labeled in the trade as a cultivar of Kalanchoe grandiflora K. grandiflora , 'grandiflora' typically has round leaves. That said, there aren't any other similar species either. In truth, there's just a lack of reliable information... One thing's certain: it’s heat-tolerant, and even thrived through the blazing, rainy midsummer outdoors.
