A type of Lithops with a reddish to orange body and fine patterns on the top. The patterns vary significantly from plant to plant: some have markings covering the entire surface, while others are mostly smooth with patterns only at the edges. There are two types, L. aucampiae var.koelmannii C016 and L. aucampiae var.koelmannii C256 , distinguished by collection numbers, but it's hard for beginners to tell them apart. (If anything, C016 tends to be redder, and C256 usually has more patterns across the top—but the individual variation is so much greater than the type difference...).
