It looks just like a single flower floating gently in the sky. The shimmering silvery-green narrow leaves blend quietly into the background, while the sudden burst of neon pink and velvet purple blooms, emerging unexpectedly from elongated flower spikes, creates a striking contrast—almost as if a flower has magically appeared out of nowhere. This plant resembles T. bergeri in some ways, but while bergeri tends to have upright flower spikes, these are distinctively arched and hang down gracefully. The name comes from the Greek 'aer' meaning "air" and 'anthos' meaning "flower," so it conveys the idea of a "flower blooming in the air". Originally found along coastal forests from southern Brazil to Uruguay.

Tillandsia air plants bloom once in their life but don’t worry- they make produce babies or ‘pups’ before they die to carry on the line. Tillandsia aeranthos x bergeri in bloom now. #airplants #epiphytes #asheville #apptropicals #wnc #tropical #houseplants #avl #weship https://t.co/7CuSZI5OBT
