BROMELIACEAETillandsia

The air plant, period.

Almost every plant sold as an “air plant” belongs to Tillandsia. Despite the marketing, these are not magical plants that survive on neglect. Most enjoy regular watering, bright light, and a bit of attention. Leave them forgotten in a dark corner and they will let you know. Reward them with proper care, though, and they produce spectacular tropical blooms. From steamy jungles to windswept cloud-top plateaus, the genus spans an astonishing range of lifestyles.

You can search for photos, care methods, and flower images of Tillandsia.
