My Haworthia Scarlet Begonias hybrids are one of my oldest hybrid series started before the turn of the century. They are splendens x picta hybrids and hybrids of splendens x picta hybrids. They have been selected for intense coloration and spotting. Over the years I have shipped them all over the world and they are being used by other breeders in their crosses. This is one of my older selections sown back in 2005. It's remained solitary over the years but it's a great parent plant contributing that wonderful pink spotting. H. cv ‘Sommersault Cloud’. I think this have been the last plant I bought from a questionable seller. I have no real qualms with TC, or Asian imports, but I really don’t like how they pump them out like crazy and how big of a crapshoot it is with the quality of plants you receive. The price is always attractive, but the quality is a big gamble. And you get plants that everyone can get.
