A compact Aeonium with thick, bright green leaves that's absolutely adorable. I used to think it was similar to "Chocolate Tip A. 'Chocolate Tip' " and "Bronze Medal A. 'Bronze Medal' ", but compared to those, Lily Pad forms thick, fleshy rosettes about 6–7 cm wide—making it stand out with much greater size and impact. These many rosettes can cluster densely into a dome shape (apparently the dome can reach up to about 15 cm across), and in spring, countless flower buds rise from the mass of rosettes, creating a truly spectacular bouquet... at least that's what I'm dreaming of, since I haven't seen it in bloom yet. It's a hybrid, with Aeonium lindleyi A. lindleyi and Aeonium bethencourtianum A. bethencourtianum as the main parents, though some sources note Aeonium lindleyi and Aeonium nobile A. nobile instead. The leaves have that signature slightly sticky feel characteristic of some Aeoniums.
