The "Green Wiper" is a popular foliage plant on the market. Its name comes from its resemblance to a car's windshield wiper, and like Sansevieria, it's known for cleaning the air—hence "Wiper." Among Gasterias, its leaves are notably long, deep green, and give off an elegant, slender vibe. When stressed, it turns a striking red, which is quite unique. If you grow it in strong light, the leaves become about half as long and much thicker, yet even then, it stays surprisingly sharp and upright for a Gasteria. To be honest, I've tried to find out exactly which variety of Gasteria it is, but the answer has always been elusive... Does it look like G. carinata ? When it turns red, it reminds me a bit of G. 'Tachi Nishiki' , but it's not quite as showy... Maybe I've finally solved this long-standing mystery?! Could it actually be G. 'Seigyuden-nisihi' ?
