A houseplant known for its striking vertical lines: deep green horizontal bands are edged with bright ivory, giving it a boldly striped look. This is the iconic species people picture when they think of Sansevieria—you’ll find it at just about every home center and 100-yen shop, usually labeled simply as "Sansevieria." Its popularity isn’t just due to its dignified, upright stripes: it thrives indoors, is nearly impossible to kill (even if you forget to water it), and is so vigorous that new plants will grow easily from cut leaves (making it inexpensive to produce). Originally, these variegated striped plants were classified scientifically as their own species, S. laurentii , but now they’re considered the variegated type of S. trifasciata . Rarely, they may bloom with white flowers—so rare, in fact, that even experienced gardeners almost never get to see them.

サンセベリア シルバーローレンティと言う品種が売られていたので買ってみた。 ネットで調べても殆ど情報が出てこず、マイナー品種らしいという事しか分からなかった。 店舗で数鉢を観察した印象だとそこまで病気に弱い感じではなさそう。葉の色的に少なくともムーンシャインよりは丈夫だと思う。 https://t.co/tP8A07npyp
