DETAIL

Kalanchoe synsepala var. decepta is a unique species with thick, glossy leaves that grow in striking shapes reminiscent of elk antlers. It can reach a width of about 30 cm, making for a rather impressive presence. True to its appearance, it's commonly known overseas by the nickname "Elk Antlers." This is a rare species—hardly ever spotted at regular garden centers or even specialty shops. Yet, it’s surprisingly robust and can often be found planted in botanical gardens. Occasionally, it sends out long offsets from the base, producing new plantlets in a bold display of propagation.
