Because their names sound similar, you might think we're talking about A. titanota 'Blue Ball' , but "Blue Titanota" actually refers to the so-called Rancho-type A. titanota , which is the original form of titanota. Unlike the highly popular "titanota" varieties (like the Sierra or Oteroi types), the Rancho types have pale blue, slender leaves, with slightly smaller but more numerous spines, and in some cases the leaves may appear reddish.
